Chelsea are confident they will seal the deal for Kalidou Koulibaly within 24 hours, with Napoli receiving €40m including bonuses.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more, all the details are essentially in place for the clubs to move very quickly indeed.

As a sign of how advanced the situation is, the defender was meant to arrive at Napoli’s training camp in Dimaro this evening, but he remained on vacation in Milan.

Reports all point towards the transfer fee being €40m including add-ons, with Sky Sport Italia specifying €38m plus €2m bonuses.

The details on personal terms differ slightly depending on the various sources.

Sky Sport Italia suggest a five-year contract worth €10m per season, whereas Sportitalia point to three years and an option for a fourth, worth €8m plus €1m in add-ons per season.

Whatever the details, everyone in Italy is entirely confident now that Koulibaly will join Chelsea over the next 24 hours.

His contract with Napoli is due to expire in June 2023 and he rejected an initial proposal to renew with his wages halved, then did not give a response to the second offer at €6m per season.

  1. Credit t koulibali, been serie best defender for past 4/5 yrs last yrs goes bremer, he’s gave his heart and soul to napoli and rejeted juve.

Top player = and this is coming from a juve fan

  2. This Napoli cycle is over. Osimhen will follow next summer if not this one after seeing all these players leave. I think they will have trouble making the top 4 this season. My early top 4 prediction at this point (in order): 1. Inter, 2. Juventus, 3. Milan, 4. Fiorentina. Inter vs. Juve for the title will be close, with Milan 6-8 pts behind and Fio another 4-5 behind us. If Milan do get Ziyech and CDK, and maybe another CM, it will be a closer three horse race for the title, but I still think Juventus and Inter are favorites over Milan.

you are one biased guy. Chiellini, de Vrij, Bonucci all received this award as well. Not to mention Bremer. You like the guy, and so you are advertising him alot.

  4. ADL needs to sell the club now. He has now let Mertens, Ospina, Insigne and KK go. Fabian and Osimhen are next. We will be struggling to stay in Serie A and will now be competing with Spezia and Empoli. Out first round in CL and not good enough even for conference cup.
