According to reports in Germany, Daichi Kamada has agreed a free transfer to Milan now that they have qualified for the Champions League.

The Japan international midfielder will be a free agent when his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt expires on June 30 and has been fielding a series of proposals.

The strongest were from Milan and Borussia Dortmund, but Patrick Berger of Sport 1 claims that the Rossoneri have pipped everyone to the post.

He had been waiting until they secured Champions League qualification for next season, which was achieved with this evening’s 1-0 win over Juventus in Turin.

Kamada is therefore ready to sign the five-year contract at San Siro.

Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano is a little more cautious, insisting Milan want to wait until he puts pen to paper before celebrating the done deal.

Kamada turns 27 in August and contributed 16 goals and seven assists in 46 competitive games this season.
