Reports in Spain suggest that Inter have already agreed terms with veteran defender Nacho Fernandez as a free agent from Real Madrid.

The Nerazzurri need a replacement for Milan Skriniar, who is set to run down his contract and make the move to Paris Saint-Germain for nothing, just 12 months after Inter turned down circa €60m for his sale.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are busy clearing out their squad, with Eden Hazard, Marcos Asensio, Karim Benzema and Nacho all exiting this summer.

According to Spanish sources, 33-year-old Nacho has already agree terms with Inter, which will be his first club after a lifetime at Real Madrid from their youth academy to the main squad.

It would be a deal until June 2026 with a salary aided by the ‘growth decree’ cutting tax on talent coming into Italy from abroad.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport insist he is only one of several options for the San Siro giants, who are also eyeing up Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich at €20m and Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.
