Multiple reports state that Inter striker Mauro Icardi has agreed a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain and will fly out for a medical, but is there an option to buy?
Before making this switch, he first had to work out a contract extension with Inter to June 2022, giving them some protection from the risk of losing him as a free agent in 2021.
According to RMC in France, Matteo Pedrosi in Italy and others, Icardi will fly out from Milan at 14.00 UK time and arrive in Paris at 16.00 UK time for his medical.
RMC Sport suggest this deal does not include an option to buy at the end of the season, so it is a dry loan only.
On the other hand, Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport point to an option to buy for a total of €70-75m.
It's likely because this is deadline day, they will continue working on the details to the last minute and have two different contracts lined up.
This does mean Inter could find themselves in the same situation next summer, but at least the 26-year-old won't spend an entire season in the stands.
