Reports are growing that Inter are in negotiations for Torino defender Koffi Djidji, who has also been linked with Juventus.

The Ivory Coast international turns 30 next week and will be a free agent in June, as his contract with the Granata expires at the end of this season.

He was purchased from FC Nantes for €3m in 2019 after an initial loan spell and this season has made 13 Serie A appearances plus one in the Coppa Italia, scoring one goal.

Tuttosport suggested in this morning’s edition that Juventus and Inter were ready to make a swoop in January or lay the groundwork for a free transfer at the end of this campaign.

Now Sport Mediaset have added their reporting to the story, insisting Inter directors have already spoken to Djidji’s agent Paolo Busardò.

He is also in negotiations with Torino to potentially extend his contract, asking for a three-year deal at €1.5-2m per season.

Djidji has taken on a more important role in the side since Gleison Bremer moved across the city to Juventus over the summer.
