The Friedkin Group, soon to officially take over as new owners of Everton, reportedly held ‘informal’ talks with Maurizio Sarri, who has been linked with the Toffees as a replacement for current incumbent Sean Dyche.

Reports Everton spoke to Sarri despite Dyche stance

According to reports from Rudy Galetti of TEAMtalk, The Friedkins have held informal discussions with the former Lazio, Juventus, Chelsea and Napoli coach in case Dyche is shown the exit in the near future.

However, TEAMtalk also report that Everton have no intention of dismissing Dyche in the coming weeks, although his long-term future is still not guaranteed.

The Englishman is out of contract at the end of the 2024-25 season, and The Friedkin Group are still prepared to let him go if results do not improve by the turn of the new year.

Everton currently sit in 16th place in the Premier League table with a tally of four points from six matches, and sit just one point above Crystal Palace in the drop zone.
