Multiple sources claim Juventus have finally reached a breakthrough for Angel Di Maria and are finalising the details of his contract.

The 34-year-old is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain and a seven-year spell at Parc des Princes.

He had seemed to be close to Juve before Barcelona came in with a proposal and he needed time to think about the situation with his family.

The Bianconeri were frustrated and saw several deadlines come and go, but now La Gazzetta dello Sport and La Stampa both report he has finally given a response and it is positive.

It is claimed they are working out the final details of the deal worth €7m per season and he could be in Turin for a medical soon.

Di Maria has asked for a one-year contract with option for a second, so he could go back to Argentina after the 2022 World Cup.

He plays primarily on the right wing of attack, but can also work on the left or in a trequartista role behind the strikers.

The Argentina international scored five goals and provided nine assists in 31 competitive games for PSG this season.

  1. They have been taken by fools and they enjoyed it at Juventus. They only can hope the guy lives up for the faith Juventus put on him, otherwise the joke is in them
The other LOL club is Barcelona, but that goes without saying

  2. Juventus, why brings Di Maria go with the young players : fagioli, soulle, zanimacchia, miretti built the team first, then next 2 – 3 years go for competing to be the champion like Milan and Inter.

  3. what are the juve board doing, just put a 35m euro bid in for gnarby as hes has 1yr left on his contract and has confirmed he’s not renewing next yr.

only played around 26 league games last yr – hasnt played 32+league games since 2013/2014 = worrying

  4. Amazing signing for Juventus! He will definitely fit right in with the slowball Allegri plays. The rest of Serie A is rejoicing at this news.

  5. Now PhD Max must get him back to the bat cave asap, in order for him to learn the back, back, down, down. They have wasted a few weeks, but 4th spot tripleta is safe.

  6. Another Ramsey / rabiot in the making. Disappointed with juve board. In the old days of juve ( 80s & 90s) the juve hierarchy would not even considered making this signing ( vialli, ravanelli, Paolo Sousa,) was sold because they were too old ( ,and yet was way younger than di maria now)backwards signing.

  7. 1. Ronaldo was not a flop. But did distract team cohesion.
    2. Di Maria good for starting or rotational role. @7mio salary and free transfer. I think it’s good signing.
3.Somebody young and good will cost way more. For this cost, you can’t find better option.

  8. Sad to see all these big Serie A clubs penniless.

Inter need to sell, it seems, Juve are broke, Milan thought they were going to be rich and – in typical Serie A style – aren’t.

Napoli, Atalanta, Lazio all appear to be without the means too. Roma being linked with a few decent players, but whether they’ll get any is another situation entirely.

Could be yet another sad season in Europe for Serie A sides.

  9. Who is to blema here? Since Marotta, Juve only two good signings are Chiesa and Vlahovic. All the other are a flop!

    Allegri and Nedved should resign!

  10. A club as big juventus begging for anyone never mind a 34 year old winger who’s best days are behind him is absolutely ridiculous and insulting they should have pulled out a lot sooner it was a 1 week decision no more and juve`s length this guy makes no difference pogba helps still no real strikers and if DeLigt leaves a questionable defense to say the least and an administration that cries poverty with the refusal to spend their way out of their own mistakes the fans should refuse to go and stop supporting them every way possible until they give us better real competitive teams not just in serie A but the champions league !

  11. Can we sel him now or freeze out, simply just pay him salary bht please dont play this faggot on field, just pay money please no let him on bench not let him in dressing room just pay salary

  12. We are dead, I am so sorry dont understand what happened to our team how we can use such not motivated players to reach our goals? I am crying now I see our team spirit is dead, how we can use such sheets like di maria ramsey or rabiot or sczeczny, we are dead, thats over, very sorry for such lads like chiesa or vlaho to be part of this sheet colective 🙁 i am crying from my eyes 🙁 goodbye juve, goodbye, you became total sheet team

  13. Maybe the board think Di Maria is just a backup for chiesa and cuadrado so that both of them do not have to play for every 3 days when schedule became more tight.. 7-m euro for experienced winger and no need to pay for transfer fee, i think its not bad, not bad at all. We can splash money in other areas such as wing back ( if pogba join again with us) .. And this is different from ramsey type of contract.. Di Maria is just askin 1 season..

  14. @Jo – see your logic makes sense. However you forget who the coach is. Di Maria is starting every game over all the young players who will only play to give Di Maria a rest. Then after 5 games Allegri will make him starting right back.

  15. Its unbielivieble, we let little slow faggot dybala just to give his money for another old argentine faggot who is not motivated to play and help juve even more. I am thinking I made my lifetime mistake when chosen to become juve fan in 1996

  16. @FORZA Juve… Fake Juve fan, watch your language on here. It’s OK to vent but you’re over the top and abusive and somehow FI lets you get away with it. It’s only a game. Chill out and get a life.

  17. Well 34 years of age but still killed Italy on the counter in the Italy-Argentina match recently. We can’t have young boys all over the field, and for CL we need players who deliver when expected and doesn’t choke like Dybala.
Now add Paredes and Molina and a replacement for want-away De Ligt.

    Woj

    Molina – Gatti – Bonucci – Danilo

    Locatelli – Paredes – Pogba

De Maria – Vlahovic – Chiesa
