La Gazzetta dello Sport has picked up a story from Fanpage, which reveals the 39-year-old asking his friend Tano Simonato to open his restaurant for them to have lunch.

The report has only been partially confirmed by the owner, who only confirmed the presence of the 39-year-old and Abate.

“Ibra, Ignazio [Abate] with another dear friend came to see me, we were there for a couple of hours and then they went home,” he said, according to the reports.

But the restaurant owner denied that Ibrahimovic had lunch there: “It was something between friends, normal, we are friends, and we see each other from time to time if we don’t see other friends.

“They didn’t have lunch, we drank a glass of wine.”

MilanNews also reported that sources close to Zlatan claimed it was just a business meeting which lasted for about an hour.

The Rossoneri striker contracted COVID-19 in September 2020 and in October he encouraged Italians to ‘respect the rules’ in the battle against coronavirus.
