Turkish media claim that a fight broke out in the tunnel between Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci, who was playing for Fenerbahce, and Alanyaspor coach Metin Atkas.
The incident occurred at half-time during the Turkish Super Lig match between Fenerbahce and Alanyaspor, according to reporter Yagiz Sabuncoglu for Sports Digitale.
Bonucci was only part of the substitutes and not in the starting XI, but it is reported he got into an argument with the opposition coach, claiming the other players were going down and staying there too easily.
Alanyaspor were leading 1-0 at the break in this away fixture, so Bonucci was in Fenerbahce’s home stadium.
The Italy international will turn 37 in May and had started the season at Union Berlin before moving to Fenerbahce in the January transfer window.
His previous clubs include Juventus, Milan, Bari and Genoa.
The defender has 121 senior caps for Italy and was part of the squad that won the EURO 2020 trophy.
