Tottenham Hotspur are now the only candidates for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, as it’s reported Atletico Madrid are targeting Matheus Cunha of Hertha Berlin instead.

There had already been suggestions from Sportitalia that Spurs were leading the race with a proposal worth €60m plus bonuses.

That is perilously close to the €70m asking price and the figure Fiorentina want to put into his new contract as a release clause.

It had turned into a bidding war between Tottenham and Atletico Madrid, but Tuttomercatoweb now claim that the Spaniards have pulled out.

Instead, the Liga reigning champions have turned their focus towards Hertha Berlin hitman Matheus Cunha, who recently won the gold medal for Brazil at the Tokyo Olympics.

Meanwhile, Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà also notes that Fiorentina are starting to look at options to replace Vlahovic this summer.

It is no mean feat, considering he scored 21 Serie A goals last season.

Among the candidates are Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca and Torino’s Andrea Belotti.

  1. I do hope that Levy doesn’t sell Kane and just sign Vlahovic to replace him, we need Vlahovic to partner Kane.

  2. I am assuming that Kane played his last game for Spurs last season, I could be wrong though, however, If I am right then Vlahovic will be needed in addition to another striker
