Roma coach Jose Mourinho seems set to cope without Nicolò Zaniolo for the next two games in Serie A, but reportedly aims to have the Italy international back against Milan.

The instrumental tests ruled out an injury for Zaniolo, who had to be replaced by Stephan El Shaarawy in the first half of the 1-0 defeat to Juventus on Sunday.

But Il Corriere dello Sport reports he will not be back in time to play against league leaders Napoli on Sunday.

The medical staff at Roma are asking the coach to be patient with the youngster, meaning he will be out against Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday.

The newspaper reports he will miss the match against Cagliari next week but should be available for the match against Milan on October 31.

Zaniolo has played seven times in Serie A this term, contributing one assist so far, but scored his first goal after the return from ACL injury in the Qualifiers for the Conference League against Trabzonspor.

  1. Injury prone.

You see these types of contact 100 times in a match and keep playing. Zaniolo has to leave after 20 Minutes.

Can’t see how he ever stays in football much longer.
