Watford have reportedly lined up former Italy CT Giampiero Ventura if Marco Silva leaves for Everton.
According to Tuttosport, Ventura is “the hot name” for Watford in the event Silva departs, with Everton having offered in excess of €13m to buy out the Portuguese’s contract.
The 68-year-old was sacked after his failure to lead Italy to the World Cup, but he worked under the Hornets’ owners – the Pozzo family – at Udinese during the 2001-02 campaign.

Watford would also be attracted to his work before the Azzurri, which saw him establish Torino in Serie A and launch the likes of Matteo Darmian and Ciro Immobile.
However, it is not known if Ventura is ready to return just yet as the newspaper adds he could take a break from football.
The Premier League side have had their fair share of Italian Coaches, among them Gianluca Vialli, Gianfranco Zola and Giuseppe Sannino and – most recently – Walter Mazzarri.
