Fiorentina have reportedly reached an agreement over the renewal with Dusan Vlahovic and are now discussing a possible release clause in the contract.

QS reports the Serbian striker, who scored 21 goals in 37 Serie A appearances last term, is on the verge of renewing with the Viola.

The 21-year-old’s current deal expires in June 2023 and Fiorentina want to tie the youngster to a new long-term deal at the Artemio Franchi, amid rumours of interest from the giants in the top division.

The outlet claims Fiorentina are working on the extension of the contract and have reached an agreement with Vlahovic to his salary to €3m a year for the next three seasons.

On the other hand, the discussion of a possible release clause at almost €70m is ongoing. The question is if the release clause will be activated immediately after signing the new deal or if the clause will only be valid from next summer.

Fiorentina are hoping to avoid having to look for a possible replacement this year and are pushing to keep Vlahovic.
