Hellas Verona have reportedly rejected an offer from Milan worth €5m plus Leo Duarte for defender Matteo Lovato.

Corriere di Verona reports technical director Paolo Maldini has tried to lure Lovato to San Siro but the Gialloblu said no.

The report claims Verona considered the offer too low and the Rossoneri must return with an increased offer to discuss with the player.

The 20-year-old centre-back has played 12 Serie A games this term and has had a rapid growth since his move from Padova for a reported €500,000 in January 2020. His contract expires in June 2024.
