The midfielder had originally been scheduled to have his tests on Thursday, but the appointment was postponed until today because the bruising is still too severe to get a good image of the situation.

Veretout underwent medical examinations this morning and according to Calciomercato.com he will remain out of action for about 35 days.

Exams highlighted a first or second-degree strain at the flexor of his right thigh.

Therefore, the 28-year-old could miss both Europa League clashes against Shakhtar Donetsk and Serie A matches against Genoa, Parma, Napoli, Sassuolo and, maybe, Bologna.
