Il Secolo XIX reveals there are two episodes that led to Candreva being left out of the squad.
The newspaper reports Ranieri first summoned the player twice to clear up any discomfort without receiving an answer.
Then, during the team meeting and before the video analysis session, the coach pointed out to him that he felt disrespected and sent him away.
The report says Candreva was not only left out of the match against Verona, but also from the group and thus from training.
Il Secolo XIX doesn’t expect Candreva to train for the next few days and claims the Blucerchiati are evaluating possible fines for the Nerazzurri loanee.
His future at Sampdoria will also be considered by the club, as the 33-year-old has doubts about his move to the club, given the situation at the Marassi.
But it’s complicated for Candreva, who has been tied to Sampdoria for a three-year period worth €1.2m a season and can only return to Inter.
The Nerazzurri reportedly don’t want him back and would lose those €2.5m if the contract is interrupted.
The outlet reveals agent Federico Pastorello, who represents both Ranieri and Candreva, has been called into action.
The newspaper also claims captain Fabio Quagliarella could play an important role.
Candreva has played 10 competitive games for Sampdoria since his move to the Luigi Ferraris, contributing one goal and three assists.
Sampdoria are currently 14th in Serie A with 11 points in as many games.
