According to CalcioNews24, Torino have targeted Pereyra as the man to bolster their midfield.

The Argentine is no stranger to Serie A, having previously played for Udinese and Juventus, while also working under Granata boss Walter Mazzarri at Watford.

However, the website warns that a deal can only happen if Baselli moves on, given the Hornets want ‘around €20m’ for the 27-year-old, who has been limited to just 45 appearances in the Premier League due to injuries.

Baselli has been linked with Milan, who are similarly keen to strengthen in the middle of the park, although they appear close to signing Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko instead.
