There are reports Sassuolo have fired Coach Cristian Bucchi and brought in former Udinese and Palermo boss Beppe Iachini.
The 2-0 home defeat to 10-man Hellas Verona on Saturday proved to be the final straw.
According to multiple sources, a meeting was set up with Iachini today to agree personal terms for a contract to June 2019 and an announcement is imminent.
Iachini is most famous for his baseball cap, which he wears to protect his eyes from the light due to an ocular condition, and had several spells on the Palermo bench.

Bucchi essentially sealed his fate with post-match comments yesterday, stating “our problem is a lack of character. A Coach can train tactics and fitness, but not character.”
Since taking over from Eusebio Di Francesco this summer, Bucchi has managed only three wins, two draws and nine losses.
The performances even in victory were never convincing and they’ve scored just eight goals in 14 games, conceding 25.
