Multiple sources confirm Lazio have agreed to sell Alessio Romagnoli to Roberto Mancini’s Al-Sadd for €3m, picking up where they had left off in the January transfer window.

The 31-year-old had already worked out personal terms and even waved an emotional goodbye to the fans when he thought that he had played his final game for the club in January.
Instead, Lazio refused to make the sale to Al-Sadd, and the defender was brought back into the squad to finish out the season.
It was with the promise that he would be given the freedom to move on at the end of the campaign, and that is now happening.
Romagnoli getting his Al-Sadd wish

Sportitalia, Sky Sport Italia and more all confirm that Lazio have sealed the €3m move, allowing Romagnoli to continue his career in the Qatar Stars League.
It is expected to be a two-year contract with option for a third.
Their coach this term is former Italy boss Roberto Mancini, although his future is very much up in the air after winning the title.
Romagnoli is a lifelong Lazio supporter who came up through the Roma youth academy, but never disguised his true loyalty to the Biancocelesti.
After spells at Sampdoria and Milan, he joined Lazio as a free agent in 2022.
