The Giallorossi have rejected the first attempt from and will look for possibilities to keep the Italy international at the Olimpico.

Previous reports in Italian media have suggested the Old Lady were prepared to put Rolando Mandragora, Daniele Rugani, Federico Bernardeschi and Cristian Romero on the plate to pick from.

The budget difficulties in Rome might force them to eventually budge but the report claims they will only evaluate an outright cash deal with any suitors, and the reported amount requested is of around €60m.

The report claims Roma are trying to avert the farewell of the Azzurri youngster, lower the amount of wages, adding a wage cap for new arrivals and reduce commissions to agents and the finally a massive player sales campaign.

But it might not be enough to help James Pallotta’s team keep hold of their biggest assets, as Tuttosport points out that their revenue has dropped by more than €100m and the club has a €280m debt to take care of as well.

But with Financial Fair Play rules changed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Roma expect Juventus to pay up the set price tag for one of the most sought-after talents in the League.
