Roma are reportedly trying to sell Amadou Diawara to reinvest in a more experienced midfielder, with Wolverhampton and Newcastle interested in the Guinean.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the two Premier League clubs have shown interest in the 24-year-old.

Newcastle have contacted sporting director Tiago Pinto, according to the report, and Roma are ready to cash in on the defensive midfielder.

Diawara has a deal until June 2024 at the Olimpico, which he signed upon his arrival from Napoli in June 2019 for a reported €21m.

The newspaper claims Wolves and the Magpies are fighting for his services and are trying to reach an agreement with the Giallorossi.
