Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto reportedly wants to renew with goalkeeper Antonio Mirante.

The veteran shot stopper has been linked with a role at Milan, as former Giallorossi director Frederic Massara wants to bring him to San Siro.

Italian media had reported the Giallorossi had planned to give the 37-year-old a coaching role in the capital, but Tuttomercatoweb reports the new sporting director has given the go ahead to extend his deal as a player.

Mirante has played 31 games for La Lupa since his arrival in July 2018 and the former Parma, Bologna, Crotone, Sampdoria, Siena and Juventus goalkeeper could stay on for another season at the Olimpico.
