Roma have reached a deal with Paris Saint-Germain to sign Georginio Wijnaldum, according to reports.

The Netherlands midfielder had reportedly been close to signing for Roma in recent weeks with just minor details holding up the move.

But Fabrizio Romano reports a deal has now been struck and Wijnaldum will become a Roma player soon.

The report suggests the deal is a loan with an option to make permanent and one of the alleged sticking points reported in the Italian media in recent days which had held up the deal had been the structure.

PSG reportedly wanted a loan with the obligation to make permanent while Roma only wanted the option and it appears the Giallorossi have got their way.

Recent reports suggested Wijnaldum had been so keen to make the move happen, he forewent a bonus owed to him by the French champions and accepted a slight wage reduction.

  1. Welcome to Rome Gini. Just need Belotti completed asap but I think that’s almost wrapped up once Shomurodov moves to Bologna or funnily enough Torino is in the picture now. Anyway, looking good so far Mourinho. Still aiming for a top four in my eyes and staying grounded.
