Claudio Ranieri will reportedly replace Xisco Munoz, who was sacked by Watford, and returns to the Premier League for the fourth time as a coach.

The Roman tactician left Sampdoria after a great season in Serie A and has been linked with a host of jobs since splitting with the Blucerchiati.

Ranieri agrees terms with Watford

Sky Sport Italia reported he has reached an agreement with the Hornets and TMW reports he’s signing the contract today, to complete the operation.

Watford have seven points from seven games in the Premier League and Ranieri, who won the Premier League with Leicester City in 2015-16, returns to England as a coach for the fourth time.

Ranieri has experience from stints with Chelsea, Leicester and Fulham, and joins a Hornets who sit 15th in the League.

The 69-year-old, who has experience from England, Spain, France and Italy, spent just under two seasons at Samp before leaving the position, helping the club to ninth in Serie A 2020-21.
