There are suggestions PSG have agreed a contract with free agent Gianluigi Donnarumma, but would send him out on loan initially.

The goalkeeper’s current deal with Milan expires on June 30 and he has been released after failing to agree terms on an extension.

Juventus remain the favourites, but Paris Saint-Germain were expected to be ruled out after extending with Keylor Navas.

Instead, reporter Duncan Castles claims on The Transfer Window podcast that PSG have worked out personal terms with Donnarumma and will send him out on loan first.

It would certainly be an unusual approach and Donnarumma has made it clear he wants to play in the Champions League, so he’d have to be loaned to another big club.

This comes after the Gazzetta dello Sport claimed yesterday that Jose Mourinho called Donnarumma, trying to convince him to join Roma.

The 22-year-old came up through the Milan academy and made his Serie A debut at 16.
