According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pirlo has now made a decision – he will join NYCFC immediately rather than wait until January.

The other option had been to stay on at Juventus until the end of 2015.

Pirlo turned 36 years old last month and won five consecutive Scudetto titles – one at Milan, then four in a row at Juve.
