There is currently no requirement for loans to be extended, so clubs are powerless in this regard.

The 30-year-old will not receive his final wages for June, July and August as a result, although the Sardinians are covering only half of his salary.

Despite an injury to Pau Lopez, Olsen will not be allowed to take part in Roma’s remaining matches this season.

He could be Portugal-bound this summer as A Bola recently reported Sporting CP were ready to swoop for the Swede.

Meanwhile, the website expects fellow loanees Radja Nainggolan, Luca Pellegrini and Daniele Ragatzu, plus expiring trio Luca Cigarini, Fabrizio Cacciatore and Alberto Paloschi to all extend until August
