Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini trained individually but has reportedly not suffered a serious ankle injury in the match against Sassuolo.

The 24-year-old had to be replaced after a tough tackle by Pedro Obiang in the goalless draw against the Neroverdi last weekend.

Pellegrini had carried out tests in the last few days, with his ankle swollen and sore from the hit, but the Giallorossi medical staff have, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, ruled out any complications.

The report reveals coach Paulo Fonseca will decide on Friday if Pellegrini can be involved against Bologna on Sunday.

Roma are already through to the last 32 of the Europa League and currently sit sixth in Serie A with 18 points from 10 games.
