Davide Nicola will reportedly not get a new deal with Torino, who are targeting Hellas Verona tactician Ivan Juric.

La Stampa claims the four consecutive games without a win has played against Nicola, who secured a new season in Serie A for Toro with a 0-0 draw against Lazio on Tuesday.

Nicola thus avoided a decisive direct clash in the last match of the season and will host Benevento without any concerns on Sunday.

But the former Genoa coach, who steered the club to safety, will reportedly not be given a new contract at the Grande Torino.

President Urbano Cairo has, according to the newspaper, targeted 45-year-old Juric ahead of 2021-22.

The Croatian coach has a deal with Verona until June 2023 but has been linked with several Serie A sides in recent months.

Juric currently prepares for an away game against Napoli, with the Gialloblu sitting 10th in Serie A, five points behind Sampdoria and three points above Bologna ahead of the last game.

Verona are without a win since April 3, and have only picked up three points in nine games since that 2-0 triumph over Cagliari.
