Andrea Pirlo has reportedly been overlooked for the position of Italy No 2 as it clashes with his punditry for Sky Sport Italia.
According to ANSA, there is ‘an issue of compatibility’ preventing Pirlo from becoming Mancini’s Azzurri assistant, ‘problems with his personal sponsors’ aside.
That would be because the former Milan and Juventus midfielder is set to feature as a pundit for Sky as part of its Champions League coverage this season.
