As Poland star Arkadiusz Milik seems set to leave, Napoli are reportedly one step away from renewing with his compatriot Piotr Zielinski.

Il Mattino claims the two Poland internationals at the San Paolo are heading in opposite directions, with Zielinski close to agreeing new terms with the Partenopei.

Milik has been linked with a move away from the Azzurri and the striker has lately been targeted by both Milan in Serie A and Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

Il Mattino claims the two Poland internationals at the San Paolo are heading in opposite directions, with Zielinski close to agreeing new terms with the Partenopei.

Milik has been linked with a move away from the Azzurri and the striker has lately been targeted by both Milan in Serie A and Atletico Madrid in La Liga.

The newspaper writes about a phone call between Zielinski and the club, revealing the 25-year-old is close to signing a new deal and will supposedly do so as soon as Napoli resume play.

The contract shall have already been drafted, tying him down to another four years and Zielinski will reportedly go from €1.5m a year to a deal worth €2.5m annually, with a €100m release clause in his deal.

The attacking midfielder has settled well in Naples after arriving from Udinese in a €15.6m move in 2016 and has played 178 games for the Partenopei so far.

This term, he has appeared 26 times in Serie A, contributing two goals and three assists in the process.
