The Slovenian’s current deal expires next summer, causing some concern among the Inter faithful, but the deal will allegedly be renewed as soon as possible.

But the newspaper reports that he will extend with the club and stay on to beat Walter Zenga’s record of 328 Serie A matches in goal for Inter.

If the season resumes and Handanovic remains the first choice at San Siro next season, the 35-year-old could break the record within the summer of 2021 – as he is currently on 279 league matches for the Nerazzurri.
