Gabriel is also believed to be ‘thrilled’ with the idea of joining Napoli, fresh from winning the Coppa Italia after a penalty shoot-out against Juventus.
The 22-year-old would receive a five-year contract worth over €2m net per season at the Stadio San Paolo.
However, Footmercato also point out the transfer window won’t open in Italy until September 1, so there is still time for Everton or Spurs to raise their offer.
