It has already been a summer of upheaval at San Paolo, with Coach Rafael Benitez leaving for Real Madrid, and former Empoli man Maurizio Sarri set to replace him.
Bigon resigned at the season’s end, and will take over at Verona, and Sky is now reporting that Giuntoli will be his replacement.
Carpi have enjoyed a remarkable rise up the Leagues, and won Serie B last year despite their Stadio Sandro Cabassi holding just 4,000 spectators.
It appears their recruitment has impressed the Partenopei, with Giuntoli reportedly agreeing a four-year deal with the Vesuviani.
