Now La Lupa will reportedly make a decision whether to appoint the former goalkeeper, who spent time under Mourinho at Chelsea in 2015.

Amelia has experience from 236 Serie A games and started his career at Roma, before moving to Livorno in 2001.

Stints at Lecce, Parma, Palermo, Genoa, Milan, Perugia, Chelsea and Vicenza followed and the 39-year-old was in the Italy squad that won the World Cup in 2006.

He currently works as coach of Livorno until June this summer but could be set for a move back to the Giallorossi, where it all started.

The broadcaster claims Mourinho has already shown his desire to bring the former goalkeeper to Roma, as he continues to pick the people to build a new project with.

Now, the Portuguese coach waits for the response from the Giallorossi, but the report claims it’s highly likely to see Amelia next to Mourinho in the Roma dugout next term.
