Reports in Italy have suggested the centre-back has been targeted by the Rossoneri in recent months, but a transfer never materialised over the summer.

Milenkovic has been ever-present at the Viola in 2020-21, contributing one goal and an assist from his defensive position so far.

The 23-year-old is tied to the Artemio Franchi until June 2022 and Milan are, according to Tuttomercatoweb, hoping to convince the Viola, who asked for at least €40m for the Serbian defender during the summer.

The report claims Milan have offered a paid loan worth €10m and an option to sign the defender on a permanent deal for €30m when the loan deal expires, also due to the current economic situation in football.

But the outlet reveals Fiorentina don’t want to lose Milenkovic under these conditions and could wait for other offers in January.

Inter and Juventus have also been linked with the young defender.
