Milan have reportedly turned their attentions towards bringing back Tianjin Quanjian striker Alexandre Pato.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Pato is next in line after Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return fell through and Fabio Quagliarella opted to renew his contract with Sampdoria.

The newspaper explains the Brazilian is ready for a second spell with Milan but must lower his €9m salary and persuade his club to let him leave on loan.

The 29-year-old scored 63 goals and won a Scudetto in six seasons with the Rossoneri and has hit 36 in just 59 games since moving to China in January 2017.
