Milan are reportedly in ongoing talks over Sassuolo loanee Gianluca Scamacca, who has impressed at Genoa.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Rossoneri managers have contacted Sassuolo over Scamacca, who has been linked with Fiorentina and Roma too.

The only issue for a possible operation this winter would be the cost of the transfer, as the forwards value has increased and Genoa would want adequate compensation to let the striker leave early.

The only issue for a possible operation this winter would be the cost of the transfer, as the forwards value has increased and Genoa would want adequate compensation to let the striker leave early.

The report claims his value is set at €25m, but Milan are more willing to spend money on a prospect like Scamacca.

Sporting director Frederic Massara had already contacted Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali last summer and the Rossoneri believe Scamacca can grow rapidly under the wing of veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 21-year-old has scored twice for struggling Genoa this term, having played 10 games in Serie A.

The Italy U21 international has scored seven goals in 12 games for the Azzurrini and earned a place in the top flight after a successful spell with Ascoli in 2019-20.
