Milan are reportedly in advanced talks with Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer but could face a race with Leicester City for the Norwegian’s signature.

The 22-year-old moved to the Bhoys from the Norwegian outfit IK Stark in July 2016 and the Foxes coach Brendan Rodgers became fond of the young centre-half during their time together in Glasgow.

But Milan have been linked with the starlet after the player’s agent Tore Pedersen has confirmed Ajer will not renew his deal at Parkhead.

Journalist Nicolò Schira has claimed the Rossoneri CEO Ivan Gazidis is in advanced talks with the players representatives and remain first in line.

The report points out that there might be a battle with his former boss, who would like to bring the Norway international to the Premier League and reunite with him in the East Midlands.
