Milan have turned their attention to a pair of Tottenham midfielders after seemingly missing out on the signing of Renato Sanches, according to reports in Italy.

The Portugal international, a long-term target for the Rossoneri, is on his way to Paris Saint-Germain, reports in France suggested on Tuesday, after they struck a deal with Lille.

It means Milan will have to turn their attentions elsewhere as they look for midfield reinforcements.

And Il Corriere della Sera report Spurs players Pape Matar Sarr and are on their list.

Both players spent last season on loan in France with Sarr at Metz – the club he made his senior debut at – at Ndombele at Lyon, who he left to sign for Spurs in 2019.

Ndombele remains Tottenham’s record signing at €62 million but struggled to live up to expectations and coach Antonio Conte allowed him to return to Lyon on loan in January.

Sarr has yet to make a first-team appearance for the north Londoners, having been loaned back to Metz as soon as he joined.

  1. @ juvenesia PSG have had numerous attempts at winning the champions league lol and keep failing, a bit similar to juve with their disgustingly shocking 7 failed finals. We don’t need him.

  2. Gutted to miss out on a lad who plays in the 6th best league in Europe and failed at Swansea…

  3. Milan have such little faith in Pobega that they’re trying to sign not one but two players in his position. Just sell him and hopefully he gets a chance somewhere. Another successful l.o.a.n.e.e. Can anyone name a single youth player who broke into the first team after being l.o.a.n.e.d? Abate is the only one I can think of.

  4. Milan got more chance of winning CL by default than Juve, Inter and PSgG combined.
Hope we meet them in CL and eliminate them with our pure talent ans less money.

  5. Of course, at least half of those Juve finals were down to incredibly dubious refereeing calls.

  6. I wouldn’t mind a chance being taken on Sarr. He’s young and promising, could possibly help fill in for Kessie, doing that box-to-box role. He would have to be after Pobega for minutes for me but ahead of Bakayoko obviously.

  7. Is this even Milan anymore?? Such disregard for Italians now it’s gross. We won’t sign Belotti who has been trying to get here for years and fits perfectly.. we won’t trust Pobega or Gabbia… and we only look to sign foreign players now due to this awful tax decree… it’s gross and this team is not Milan.

  8. @ zoro … not sure what ” Milan ” you are speaking or but :

Seedorf, Sheva, Kaka, Pato, Dida , Stam, Cafu, Ronaldinho, IBRA ,to name a few. All Milan Greats , none of which are Italian? There was always a drive to bring in the best to Milan, not so much based on where they are from.
