La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals the meeting between the two parties in recent weeks ended with an offer of a new deal worth €3m a season for the attacking midfielder.

Calhanoglu was allegedly not pleased by the offer and his current contract situation has reportedly attracted clubs from England and Spain.

The 26-year-old’s deal at Milanello expires in June 2021 and the newspaper mentions Manchester United as possible suitors.

The report claims Calhanoglu’s excellent performances in recent months has attracted interest from top clubs who are willing to offer him a lucrative salary for the next five years.

The player hopes to renew with Milan and the priority is to continue at San Siro. By November, the parties will meet again.
