According to the latest reports out of the Napoli camp, Dries Mertens can start the Coppa Italia semi-final with Inter, but Fabian Ruiz will miss out.

It kicks off at the Stadio San Paolo at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT), after the Partenopei won the first leg 1-0 away from home on February 12.

Coach Gennaro Gattuso has several fitness concerns going into the game, but Sky Sport Italia are confident Mertens will be ready to lead the attack with Lorenzo Insigne and ex-Inter man Matteo Politano.

However, the news is not so reassuring around Fabian Ruiz, as Gattuso does not want to risk the Spaniard.

Allan and Eljif Elmas aren’t in great shape either, so if the worst comes to the worst, Napoli could pull Jose Callejon back into a midfield role alongside Diego Demme and Piotr Zielinski.

Kostas Manolas is still out of action following a muscular injury within days of the return to training, along with Stanislav Lobotka and Kevin Malcuit.

Inter are missing Diego Godin, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Matias Vecino, but should use Christian Eriksen in a new 3-4-1-2 formation, supporting Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.

Probable line-ups

Napoli: Ospina; Di Lorenzo, Maksimovic, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Allan, Demme, Zielinski; Politano, Mertens, Insigne
