Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly will most likely leave the Partenopei this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Senegal international seemed set for a move already last year, but neither Paris Saint-Germain nor Manchester United were interested in matching the set value of €80m for the defender.

The newspaper claims President Aurelio De Laurentiis received offers of €70m and the defender stayed with Gennaro Gattuso’s team.

Koulibaly arrived from KRC Genk In July 2014 and his current contract expires in June 2023, but the report claims he will be on his way already two years before the deal ends.

The 29-year-old has been one of the protagonists on the transfer market in recent years, but a deal has never materialised due to the stubbornness of patron De Laurentiis.

This time around, after a full season with lost revenues due to COVID-19, the Azzurri seem set to cash in.

But La Gazzetta dello Sport claims his value has decreased to €50m over the last season, due to the current market.
