Juventus have turned their attentions back to Sergej Milinković-Savić following their midfield injury crisis, according to reports in Italy.

New signing Paul Pogba has a consultation on Monday to determine the best course of treatment for his knee injury and could be out until 2023.

Meanwhile Weston McKennie has reportedly suffered a dislocated shoulder and faces up to a month on the sidelines.

Il Corriere dello Sport report this has forced Juve to turn their attentions back on to Milinković-Savić.

However, according to the report, while conversations with Mateja Kežman, the player’s agent, have been positive, Lazio are not willing to lower their asking price of €60 million.

As well as their injury crisis, Juve could also see fellow midfielders Arthur and Adrien Rabiot leave this summer.

Should those players leave, though, it could free up the cash necessary to meet Lazio’s asking price, the report adds.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito made it clear he would be against allowing Milinković-Savić to leave, last month referring to the midfielder as “our Paulo Dybala.”

  1. @ Tom: Indeed and maybe try to exchange him with Zakaria +30 mil. Then we have Pogba Locatelli SMS as starters and Rovella Fagioli and McKennie as backups. Though we would still need a winger too then (and tackle fullbacks next summer I guess).

  2. Its shame if we pay such money for this old men who never played in champions league high level, its shame to be juve fan for me, why they not take nabil fekir? Its 20 million price. This milinkovic savic was never seriously inter3sted ev3n dumb english clubs, and now we from our own pocets will give lazio 60 millions to streghen their team with fekir and 2 more superstars?

  3. @Forza Juve
    Agreed
we can buy three young players with 60m
Milenkovic-Savic with that price is a joke
I’d rather see Fagioli in the left side of that three-man midfielder than Milenkovic-savic

  4. A midfield of Pogba, sms and locatelli on their day is CL level. I think beside Lukaku’s return to Inter it is the coup of this season’s transfer market.

  5. Instead of 60m for SMS they could get Gundogan for 25m, Kostic for 17m AND Depay for 20m.

Just Gundogan alone would be a better shout than SMS as proving himself at the top level and he moves up from Midfield into the box at the right time better than SMS

  6. 1st problem is Who would buy arthur and rabiot with their galactic wage demand,
2nd problem lotitonis hard to negotiate with,
3rd i think there’s a better player outside with cheaper price

  7. Zidane should join when we had ronaldo, and we would been champions league winners maybe not once in a row for now… But no, we bought rabiot ramsey kulusevski danilo makkeney, and of course let go douglas costa and cancelo… Just to destroy everything for juve and ronaldo…

  8. Not sure why rube fans are angry.

Getting SMS would make rube clear scudetto favourites. By quite a margin down to Milan, Roma and lastly inter.

  9. To azzkikr: we simply not want this unnecessery expenditures when we can use such money better

  10. Just how many players can Juve buy from the other clubs in Serie A, weakening opponets in the process. This never ending cycle of purchasing players who have either lost a step or are on the rise with other clubs is a vicious cycle of under achievement and panic by management who have failed to win the Scudetto the last 2 years and just can’t believe other teams are better run, coached and managed. When does it end?and how?

  11. All year long you guys complain about Juve buying washed out players on the cheap instead of spending big and getting SMS who will vastly improve their midfield. And now that they’re going for SMS you don’t like it and you’d rather Juve buy washed out players for 20M. In the end, you just want to complain about whatever Juventus does.
