The Bulgarian hitman had been on his way to Florence in order to complete the transfer this afternoon when he stopped off in Munich to change flights.
However, while there the news filtered through from his agents that Juve had offered to double the wages proposed by the Viola.
Fulham were also interested, but Sky Sport Italia insist Juventus have agreed terms with Manchester United for the €5m transfer (around £3m), to be paid in two instalments.
The player will also receive a two-year contract worth €2.5m per season net.
There could also be an option for a third year on the deal.
