Madrid paid Eintracht Frankfurt €60m for the 22-year-old last summer, but he scored just two goals in 24 games before the coronavirus lockdown.

He courted controversy during the lockdown for breaking curfew and suffered a heel injury, ruling him out of the season’s restart in Spain.

The website also cites Spanish reports that claim Los Blancos are running out of patience with Jovic, who recently barbequed with friends despite nursing an injury and social distancing remaining in place.

The Rossoneri, meanwhile, see the Serb as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s long-term heir and would like to reunite him with ex-Eintracht strike partner Ante Rebic.
