Torino midfielder Joel Obi is reportedly in talks to join Spanish side Celta Vigo.

Toro.it cites reports in the Spanish Press, which suggest Celta are ‘very interested’ in Obi and that their representatives will meet the Nigerian’s camp in Sardinia.

Furthermore, they would be leading a race that also involves ‘Espanyol, Benfica, Crystal Palace and unnamed German clubs’.

The website explains Toro are considering selling the Inter youth product so they can free up a non-EU spot in their squad, while a €4m asking price has been quoted.

Injuries have ravaged the 27-year-old’s career, although he did manage a respectable six goals in 25 games for the Granata last season.
