Il Messaggero claims patron Claudio Lotito and Inzaghi, who turned 45 yesterday, have agreed terms to continue together in the capital.

Inzaghi has been in charge for 240 games, since April 2016, and helped the Biancocelesti return to the Champions League.

This year, the Aquile sit sixth in Serie A, four points behind the top four and are still in with a chance of qualifying for the prestigious competition for a second consecutive season.

Inzaghi’s contract expires in June and rumours in Italian media have suggested Lotito contemplated replacing the coach, who took his time to respond.

But Il Messaggero reports the two parties are ready to sign an agreement until June 2024 worth €2.5m a season.
