Inter have reportedly passed up the chance to sign Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil.

According to Calciomercato.com, Ozil “has never been a real objective” for Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio and technical coordinator Walter Sabatini.

The website explains the 28-year-old had been offered to several Italian clubs but was rejected by all of them.

Ozil currently earns a salary of €8m at Arsenal, but his contract expires next summer and he is no longer indispensable for manager Arsene Wenger.
