Reports in Italy have suggested he was close to signing a new deal until the summer of 2025, but Tuttomercatoweb reveals the new deal will be one year shorter than first expected.

His current deal expires in June 2023 and the Argentina international will add one more year to his contract when he gets his salary adjusted.

TMW reveals his agents have arrived at Inter’s headquarters and that the €111m release clause remains in the new deal.

There are rumours of an anti-Juventus clause in the contract set at €150m and the latest report claims it’s part of the contract, but Il Toro is set to remain at Inter.
